Tree Removal

Dangerous trees, trees hanging over your house, and trees with nowhere safe to fall. We take them apart in pieces and lower them to the ground, so your yard stays in one piece.

You need this if: The tree is dead, dying, leaning, hollow at the base, or standing somewhere it cannot safely stay.

What the job includes

A certified arborist assessment before anything is cut
Sectional dismantling from the top down when there is no room to fell it
Every piece rigged down on a rope, not dropped
Crane assist on the big ones and the ones with no landing zone
Ground mats and plywood over drives, septic fields and soft lawn
All wood, limbs and chips hauled the same day

Stump grinding is priced separately so you only pay for it if you want it.

Tree Trimming and Pruning

We cut the right limbs in the right places so your tree heals and keeps growing. We will never top a tree, because topping leaves it weaker than it started.

You need this if: The tree is healthy but it is too close to the house, dropping deadwood, or overdue for attention.

We will never top a tree. Topping forces out weak growth that breaks in the next storm.

Stump Grinding

We grind the stump below ground level so you can lay sod, plant something new, or park on it. The chips leave with us or stay as fill. You decide.

You need this if: There is a stump in the way of sod, a new plant, a patio, a shed pad or a mower.

A dead limb that was reported and left alone is the hardest conversation there is. Documentation matters here.

Nobody in this trade likes publishing this, which is exactly why we are going to. Two trees the same height can be a thousand dollars apart, and it is never arbitrary. Here is what we are looking at when we walk your property.

Where we draw the line

Four things we will not do, whatever you offer to pay

You can judge a tree company by what it refuses as much as by what it sells.

We will not top a tree

It forces out weak, fast growing shoots from the wound. Those are the exact limbs that snap off in the next storm, and the tree never really recovers. If you want the canopy off your roof, there is a right way to do it.

We will not hurricane cut a palm

Stripping it back to a few fronds pointing straight up takes away the food the palm needs. It makes the palm more likely to snap, not less. It is a myth that has sold a lot of unnecessary pruning in Florida.

We will not touch a tree on a live power line

That is the utility's line and the utility's job. Call them, keep everybody well back, and call us once the line is dealt with. Anyone who offers to do it anyway is telling you something about how they work.

We will not tell you a tree has to come down when it does not

Deadwooding, a crown reduction, or a cable through a heavy fork solves a lot of situations that look like removals from the ground. It is a smaller invoice and the right answer. We would rather have you as a customer in five years.

Before you call

Choosing the right service

Do I need a removal or just a trim?

If the tree is healthy and the problem is where the branches are, that is a trim. If the trunk is hollow, split, badly leaning, or more than about half the crown is dead, that is usually a removal. The honest answer is that you often cannot tell from the ground, which is why the arborist visit is free.

Can you do more than one thing in the same visit?

Yes, and it is cheaper that way. One trip, one setup. If you have a removal, a couple of trims and an old stump, get them all on the same estimate and the per tree price drops.

Do you take small jobs?

Yes. One limb over a driveway or a single stump is still a job. Small jobs sometimes wait a few days so we can pair them with something nearby, and we will tell you that up front.

I am a landlord or a property manager. Do you work with me?

Yes, all the time. We can invoice the management company, coordinate access with tenants, and send insurance certificates to your office. More on commercial work.

How do I know the price will not change?

Because you get it in writing before anything starts. The one thing that changes a price mid job is hidden decay or an obstruction nobody could see from the outside. If we hit that, we stop and talk to you before we keep going.

Do you do the work yourselves?

Yes. It is our crew, our equipment and our insurance. Nothing gets handed to a subcontractor you never met and never agreed to have on your property.
