Emergency and Storm Damage Tree Service

Trees on roofs. Blocked driveways. Split trunks. Limbs hanging over the yard. Call or text 352-770-TREE at any hour, any day of the year.

The short version

Do not wait until morning.

A trunk resting on your roof is holding a load, and that load keeps shifting as the wood settles and the weather moves through. A limb hanging up in the canopy over your walkway is worse, because nothing is holding it but friction. Both need someone who can read where the pressure is before a single cut gets made.

Cut the wrong piece first and the rest of the tree comes through your ceiling. That is why storm work gets handled differently from a scheduled removal, and it is why we answer the phone at three in the morning.

Call us right now if

  • A tree or a big limb is sitting on your roof, your car, or a power line
  • There is a broken limb hung up in the tree that has not fallen yet
  • The trunk has split, or a big fork in the tree has cracked open
  • The ground is lifting or cracking at the base of a leaning tree
  • A fallen tree is blocking your driveway or a road you need to use

How it works

What to do, and what we do

01

Stay away from it

This comes first. Do not walk under a hanging limb, and never go near a tree touching a power line. Anything on a line, call the power company.

02

Text us a photo

Send it to 352-770-TREE from somewhere safe. One photo tells us what equipment to load and gets a crew rolling sooner.

03

We make it safe first

The first pass takes the weight off your house and clears the immediate danger, so the structure stops taking load and you can move around your own property again.

04

We photograph everything

We shoot the tree and the damage before and during, because your insurance adjuster is going to want to see it and you cannot go back and recreate it.

05

Then we finish the job

Once the emergency is handled, the rest of the tree and all the debris come out on a normal schedule.

Questions

Questions people ask us about this

Do you really answer the phone at night?

Yes. Call or text 352-770-TREE at any hour. Storm damage is a big part of what we do from June through November, and it does not keep office hours.

Will my insurance cover this?

Every policy is different, but generally homeowners insurance pays when a tree hits something they cover, and generally does not when the tree just fell in the yard. Getting the part off your house is usually treated differently from removing the rest of the tree. Take photos before anyone touches anything, call your insurance company early, and keep the invoice itemized. We are not your adjuster, but we know what they ask for.

What if the tree is on a power line?

Call the power company, not us, and keep everybody well back. Anything touching a live line is theirs to clear. Once that is handled, we can take care of the tree.

How fast can you get here after a hurricane?

Honestly? After a big storm every tree company in the county has a waiting list, and for anything that is not a safety emergency it is measured in days, not hours. Real hazards get moved to the front. Calling on day one puts you a lot further up the list than calling on day three.
